On this day 24th April 1990, Hubble space telescope was carried into orbit wish makes it 19 Earth years now. Really great, Hubble is still celebrating with the IYA2009 .

100 hours of Astronomy is a 100-hour (from the 2nd to the 5th of April 2009), round-the-clock, round-the-globe event inside the International Year of Astronomy.

Well many people who thought that Armature Astronomers like me can start their hobby when the sunsets were impressed.

This world wide event today shows people that Astronomy is not night hobby only!

Hope everyone around the world are enjoying the events. For us here in Oman is really a bad luck, because of the clouds… At the moment I can sit and watch the live events around the world in 80 telescopes. Please have a look at my previous post.  Currently there are around 2000 viewers around the world and I’m watching it right at the moment while writing this post :) .

100 Hours of Astronomy is a global astronomy event from 2 to 5 April when you can discover the Universe with the rest of the world!  A project of the International Year of Astronomy, there are free public activities happening all around the world, and online right here.

The 100 Hours of Astronomy in Oman will take place in Al Sahwa gardens, Muscat near Muscat airport at around 6:00pm from 2-5 April.
